We are privileged to have the doyen of Fundraising and NGOs, Di Milford, present to us. Di has spent the last 30 years in the NGO sector and with that comes many years of knowledge and understanding in all aspects of the sector. She has also volunteered at the PMCB for the past 20 years.
Di will cover the following in her presentation:

Di wrote a Fundraising Manual in 2002 for the Indlovu Partnership for Lifelong Learning (INPLL) which is still used today. She also set up a Trust in the UK for Project Gateway in 2006.
She has many awards and accolades as detailed below:
- An Award from the Foreign Investment Network (FIN) London Company for an innovative presentation to a Conference at the Hilton Hotel in Kensington London in October 2005.
- Attended the Fair Trade - IFAT (International Federation of Alternative Trade Conference in Newcastle upon Tyme (England) representing 30 Craft making groups in KZN. Won the "Best item on Show" . June 2003
- Attended a Conference organized by Project Finance Forum for Africa in Brussels regarding Empowering Women Entrepreneurship. October 2004.
- Worked with the University of GAVLE (north of Stockholm) Sweden with Assistant Professor Maria Fregidou-Malama regarding the difference between Entrepreneurship in Sweden and South Africa. 2006-2008
- Exhibited a Collection of 10 pieces of Art - "The Big Five" at South Africa House in Trafalgar Square – London November 2007
- Project Gateway was awarded an Impumelelo Award in Cape Town in 2010.
- The Rotary Club of South Africa Community Service Award for the "Service above Self" Award – November 2019.
